Heavenly Father,
We ask for your continued care
for the clergy spouses of this diocese.
Keep us ever mindful of
your love for us,
our families, and the Church.
Enable us to be enlightened
by the vision of the ministry
to which you have called us.
Continue to bind us together
as a strong, caring, and loving family
in your Name.
Amen

The 2010 Clergy Spouse Gathering at DaySpring Conference Center this past weekend was a delightful time of togetherness. The event began with dinner on Friday, March 5 and extended through to Sunday lunch (March 7). Families gathered on Saturday for a day full of activities, which included a picnic and ice cream social. Bishop Dabney Smith and Canon Michael Durning spent time listening and sharing with the clergy spouses.

At the recent Spring Gathering entitled Celebrating the Journey of the Clergy Family, the clergy spouses who have been clergy spouses the longest were honored and presented with pink tulips and ribbons, which had been blessed by Bishop Dabney Smith.
As part of the Celebrating the Journey of the Clergy Family event, the Clergy Spouses of Southwest Florida committed to a project of making and selling bead jewelry to raise funds to help three clergy families in need.
