Busy Hands Lovingly Working Beads to Help Others
As part of the Celebrating the Journey of the Clergy Family event, the Clergy Spouses of Southwest Florida committed to a project of making and selling bead jewelry to raise funds to help three clergy families in need.
The association agreed to help support two families from Africa, one of which currently lives in the diocese, and the other in a remote area of Tanzania. The third family, that of the Bishop of Haiti, the Rt. Rev. Jean Zache Duracin, whose wife, Madame Marie Edith Duracin, is in the diocese with her son recovering from injuries that she sustained in the recent earthquake in Haiti.

The Clergy Spouses plan to offer their beading handiwork for sale at a variety of upcoming diocesan events. They are also working on making the jewelry available for purchase at The DaySpring's Gift Shop.
