Faith Forum meets weekly @ 11 a.m.
Lively, small-group discussions engaging students, staff and faculty in exploration of spiritual or pastoral topics raised by participants. Campus Minister Emeritus, the Rev. Jake Jacobs, is a frequent contributor to this series.
Special Dinner Programs
With excellent support from the dining staff and drawing from interfaith resources in the local community, Campus Ministry brings the Ringling community together to break bread and share understanding on special holy days, when shared meals may be part of the observance.
Ongoing Programs
Other discussion groups or short study series are offered during a single semester. Campus Ministry volunteers and guest speakers address a variety of faith topics during the academic year, with events on this and nearby college campuses open to the entire Ringling College community.
Summer Internships
Each summer, undergraduate students apply and are selected for on-campus internships that combine transformational community building with service learning. A small group work as full time volunteers in the local area while living and making meals together, with spiritual support from the campus minister and campus ministry board leaders.
The campus minister participates fully in new student orientation. She offers occasional ecumenical worship services during the year and is available for pastoral care. She serves as chaplain and as a referral for students who wish to make a connection to their particular faith community in the local area.
