Interfaith Council
The campus minister supports the work of the students on the Interfaith Council, bringing together those in the New College community whose lives involve an awareness and appreciation of spirituality. During the fall semester the Interfaith Council created an on-campus meditation room that remains available 24-hours a day as a quiet space for prayer, reflection, theological study or meditation. Donations of prayer rugs, Bibles, spirit stones, rosaries and other books or religious items are welcome and have given character to this space.
Campus Ministry provides programming, pastoral care, discussion groups and worship services on campus for students, staff and faculty. These have included 9/11 and Virginia Tech memorials, Easter sunrise gathering, special events for family weekends and other occasions.
