The Church Pension Group is hosting an interactive website that can recertify someone in about 40 minutes.
All licensed clergy must be trained in Safeguarding God’s Children; lay people, including church employees, licensed Eucharistic visitors, vestries, and lay people who work with children and youth must also complete this training.
Program administrators in each deanery will soon be contacting people in need of retraining with instructions and passwords to log on to the retraining site.
The online course is for recertification only. First-timers must still take the in-person, four-hour Safeguarding class, offered throughout the year in the diocese.
