July 12: Carillon Concert -- "Americana Concert: Rags by Scott Joplin, Songs by Stephen Foster, American Hymns"
Carillonneur/Organmaster Lee Cobb performs on the Church of the Ascension's 49-bell carillon, one of only four carillons in the state of Florida. Music lovers are invited to bring lawn chairs or sit in their cars under the oaks. Wine and cheese will be served.

July 8-17: The 76th General Convention of the Episcopal Church
The triennial meeting of the House of Bishops and House of Depuies.

July 9: Safeguarding God's Chldren Training
Safeguarding God's Children is the program which all licensed clergy must complete. Lay people, including church employees, licensed Eucharistic visitors, vestries, and lay people who work with children and youth must also take this training.
Time and Location: 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 604 N. Valrico Rd., Valrico, 33594. Refreshments will be served.

Safeguarding God's Children is the program which all licensed clergy must take. Lay people, including church employees, licensed Eucharistic visitors, vestries, and lay people who work with children and youth must also complete this training.

July 13-17: FISH Camp
St. John’s Episcopal Church in Clearwater is sponsoring a weeklong opportunity for rising 6th- to- 9th-graders to go into the community to do service projects. Cost is $70 per person for the week, which includes lunch; or $95 per person after June 29.
Time and location: Noon to 4 p.m. each day at St John’s, 1676 South Belcher Rd. in Clearwater.

The purpose of this gathering is to assist all those interested in the development of their ministry, whether lay person, deacon or priest. Attendance at the gathering does not require the permission of your rector or vicar, nor does such attendance imply the approval of the Commission for admittance to the ordination process.

August 29: Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Retreat
Designed for catechists working with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd process, focusing on the Montessori principles that provide the roots for this formation process. This retreat may also be of interest to individuals currently working in Godly Play programs. Coffee and tours of atria start at 9:30 a.m. The program begins at 10 a.m. Cost is $15. Lunch is included.

The last day for audit reports for the fiscal year 2008. This is mandated by the Episcopal Church (Title I, Canon 6, Sec. 1). All reports not received by 4:30 p.m. are automatically referred to the Finance Committee.

September 11-12: Break in to Break Out: Women’s Healing Conference
The fifth annual women’s conference by the Amazing Love Healing Ministry of Church of the Holy Spirit, Osprey. Communion service on the beach will be held for those who stay over on Sunday.
