On February 26, 2008, Bishop Dabney Smith blessed the Chapel Center at the University of South Florida. About 45 diocesan clergy, USF professors, students, and staff attended the ceremony, which offered them the chance to view the newly renovated facility.  Rev. Denise Gray Guinta is the chaplain at the Chapel Center located at 12850 N. 50th St., on the campus of USF.

Three student groups and The Brotherhood of St. Andrew from the Cathedral of St. Peter came together on Saturday, February 16th, for a Chapel Clean-Up Day. Students from Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority and Progressive Black Men from the University of South Florida along with Good Samaritan Youth Group from Clearwater all rolled out of bed early to rake leaves, cut back overgrowth, move furniture, and do general building cleanup at the center.  It was a fun and productive day of fellowship, teamwork, and pizza eating.
